Before the blonde hair, before the fame, before the super-stardom, she was sweet Norma Jean. The world came to know her as Marilyn Monroe. At age 19 she was signed to the famous Blue Book Agency in Hollywood, where a series of early portraits were shot by photographer Edwin "Steinie" Steinmeyer. This is one from the series (circa 1946), and color-enhanced for the first time in memoriam to Marilyn’s eternal spirit.
